What better time to review confetti poppers than right after you bought a boat load for your photoshoot, am i right? Because my blog is called, “cake and fetti,” I thought it would be fitting to share my thoughts on which of the three confetti poppers I picked up from Target and Walmart were the best. Here are my results so you can have a better idea of what confetti to use for your next birthday party, baby shower, or celebration!
1. Target’s Spr!tz Confetti Push Popper (4 for $5)
First up we have Target’s Confetti Push Popper. These poppers came in a pack of four. I should have looked closer at the package, because I would have realized you had to manually push up the confetti, instead of having a little twist thing at the bottom like most confetti poppers have. So, as you can see from the photo above, the confetti just kind of fell straight to the ground with no height or umph. My sister and I had a good laugh though. Also, you may have noticed I did not link this particular popper. That is because Target does not list it on their website (maybe because it’s such a disappointment.) Jokes aside, If you have little kids and want something low-key, this would work perfect for you. Otherwise, I’d say go for one of the other ones listed below.
2. Walmart’s Twist Popper (3 for $2.48)
Next up is Walmart’s Twist Popper, definitely an upgrade from the push up confetti. This popper was adorable, a perfect inbetween of the three. It shot up a good amount of confetti, wasn’t too loud, and could be used indoors or outdoors. One of the three in the pack broke when I twisted it, but that was probably a user error. Maybe one day I’ll have some confetti to just pop whenever I feel like and I’ll be more accustomed to it.
3. Walmart’s Showtime 12-Inch Confetti Popper (1 for $2.47)
Saving the best for last, the Showtime 12-Inch Confetti Popper from Walmart was by far my favorite! It did have a loud bang I wasn’t expecting, but it had that mesmerizing, slow-floating confetti that was perfect for photos. This one really delivered. I wasn’t expecting the loud bang, and this should only be used outdoors, but it’s exactly what you think confetti should be. I definitely recommend for your kid’s outdoor birthday–they’d go crazy over it!
Conclusion:
In my opinion, Target’s Spr!tz Confetti Push Popper was a dud, Walmart’s Twist Popper was much better despite a minor malfunction, and ultimately, the Showtime 12-Inch Confetti Popper from Walmart was the clear winner. With a ton of confetti, great photo ops, and a very affordable price point, you can’t go wrong with this one!
